Who are you guys?
We’re a team of creative and mechanically inclined guys from Austin, Texas who like riding bicycles and making cool stuff.
So I need two pieces to make this work?
Yes, you do. First you install the Stem Cap Base, which replaces your normal top cap - it's a one-time purchase and install. Then snap on any of our standard or custom Stem Cap Covers. They're so easy to change out, you can have a different one for every day of the week.
What are they made of?
Our Stem Cap Base is made of 6061 acid-etched aluminum and anodized black. The Stem Cap Covers are made of polycarbonate and printed with UV stabilized inks in Frisco, Texas.
Will it fit on my bike?
Probably. Our Stem Cap Base will fit on any bike with a 1 1/8" steer tube. Bikes that our system wouldn’t work on would include old steel bikes that use a 1” headset or companies that use a 1 1/2" steer tube (but that is rare). If you’re not sure, email us at jason@stemcaps.com
How can I get fully custom covers?
Check out our custom page. We can either help you with the design or send along a template for you to work on. Depending on quantity, caps could be done anywhere from 2 days to a week. Check out some of the work we've done here.
